Basics of working with the terminal

In this lesson, we'll cover the basic command line commands for working with JavaScript tools. The command line (terminal, console) is a program that allows you to enter text commands. These commands allow you to navigate the file system and run programs.

If you are a Linux or Mac user, you probably know that the command line is seamlessly built into your operating system, and you know how to at least launch it.

If you are working under Windows, you should know that not all the commands studied below will work under this OS if you use the built-in command line. In your case, you need to take the right program for the command line, for example, Power Shell.
