Creating a Database on Hosting

Our virtual hosting tariff states that we have a certain number of databases. In reality, initially, there are none, and if necessary, we must create them ourselves.

So, we need to create a database. This is not done in PMA, as we are used to on a local server. The thing is, on hosting services, PMA is usually limited and does not allow creating databases.

This is done to limit the number of databases you can create. There is no physical need for this. It's just an artificial restriction, to create a line of tariffs with different prices.

Therefore, the database must be created in the hosting control panel.

There is a small nuance with the database name. When creating a database, you will need to come up with a name for it. However, a small random string will be added to this name.
