Technically, hosting is a computer connected to good internet. This computer is located somewhere on the hoster's premises, in some room (it is called server room). As a rule, this room contains many computers at once.

All these computers host websites. As a rule, one computer hosts many sites at once, and these sites have different owners.

The server room is provided with good internet, with high bandwidth capacity.
