The FTP Access Parts

As you already know, to connect to a site, you need FTP access credentials.

They consist of three parts: hostname, username and password. Sometimes, very rarely, a fourth part is needed - port number.

What a username and password are, I think is obvious to you.

As the host, you should specify your domain name or its IP address. As a rule, the hoster provides you with the hostname in the letter with the access credentials. But not always. If it's not there, just enter the domain name - that should work.

The port number is very rarely needed. Usually, we don't specify it and the default value is used. Nevertheless, this setting is often a source of problems, as people try to put something there, for example, the port number for a NodeJS script or something else. Here, follow the rule: if you were not explicitly told that this is the port number for FTP, then do not touch this setting.
