Buying a Domain

Let's now proceed to buying your first domain. As you already know, this is done on the registrar's website.

There are usually many registrars in each country, but there is usually a main one, the oldest and most trusted. It is best to buy a domain from such a registrar, and it will be better if the registrar is located in your country.

For example, for Belarus, such a registrar is hoster.by, and for Russia - reg.ru. If you live in another country, google which registrar in your country is the main one.

So, now your task is to buy your first domain. We will use it further when going through the tutorial. But, since domains are bought for at least a year, it would be foolish to buy a domain only for studying. Therefore, it is better to plan in advance how you will further use this domain. I would advise using it for a portfolio website and naming it accordingly - with your name.
