Oldbridge

Oldbridge sits on a bend of the N-River, where a stone crossing still carries the market road. Cloth halls from the 1500s face a later brick quay. The town grew on river trade, then on mills, then on a small university.

Winter floods mark the lower streets. The upper ridge holds the castle scrap and a ring of lime trees. Saturday market is still the week’s clock.
