The stand-up that lasted a sprint

We booked fifteen minutes. Maya brought a ticket. Sam brought a diagram. Lea brought a second diagram that cancelled the first. Riley brought coffee and the news that production had been “a bit yellow” since Tuesday.

By minute forty the ticket had a child ticket. By minute sixty the child had a Slack thread. Nobody sat down. The intern asked if this still counted as a stand-up. We said yes, because sitting would mean we were in a meeting, and nobody had accepted the invite.

At 11:10 someone muted the room and shipped a one-line fix. The yellow went green. We still finished the stand-up. We had already reserved the hour.
